Valverde Residence is a newly renovated home completed in July 2020, located in the luxurious Mid-Levels area of Hong Kong, overlooking the city’s glittering and iconic towers and Victoria Harbour. This 1,100 square foot residence was originally a two-bedroom apartment and has been transformed into a home for a newlywed couple who enjoy traveling, exploring the world, and entertaining guests. They requested a larger communal space to create a spacious environment for hosting friends and family.
The overall color palette and material choices for the residence are based on a white foundation with pops of pink, nude, blush, and beige. The use of materials such as brass, concrete, walnut, and woven details is consistent throughout the design, creating a light and airy atmosphere.

Elegant Lighting Design at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel

Chengdu Tianfu is positioned as the “Tianfu Smart City and Innovation Hub,” serving as the core economic area of the Tianfu Central Business District. As a collaborative effort between two Fortune Global 500 companies, Marriott International and China Communications Construction Company, the Four Points by Sheraton Chengdu Tianfu continues the brand’s philosophy of simplicity and modernity, seamlessly integrating local charm and Chengdu’s tea culture. The design redefines the concept of an urban “business-leisure” hotel with a fresh perspective, aligning with the brand’s philosophy of “redefining travel.” It reinterprets the Four Points classic elements to create a sophisticated, fashionable, and naturally comfortable space.
The design delves deeply into the local cultural history and geographical advantages, using the local affection for “tea culture” as a commercial entry point. The core of this design is to create a “new social space” for both local guests and business travelers, allowing them to experience the city’s character in a serene environment.

Hongxun Industrial Office Lighting Design Case Study

This project is located in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, and it is an office space lighting design case study with an area of 430 square meters.
The office space design emphasizes a youthful approach, both in the decoration style and the selection of lighting fixtures, achieving a balance of aesthetics and creativity.
The entire space has a smooth flow, clear color blocks, and well-defined functions. The gaps between walls are utilized to guide the light, and recessed linear lights add a sense of dynamism to the waiting area.
The floor is made of engineered flooring, and the original cement columns and partial walls are preserved. White steel frames are used for storage and display, and each workstation is equipped with a crisscrossing white rack. A rectangular pendant light serves as the lighting for each workstation, making the space both transparent and clean. These designs not only facilitate cost savings but also serve a decorative purpose.

H&K Leather Workshop Clothing and Bag Store Lighting Design

H&K was founded in 2012 by Kang Chengxiang and Hu Yue, graduates of the School of Architecture and Art at Beijing Jiaotong University from the class of 2008. Hangzhou Moshou Xixi Hotel – Interior Lighting Design

The lighting design creates an indoor space rich in the reserved beauty of the East by means of artificially produced light and shadow, tree shade, and the integration of natural materials with a focus on their surface treatment. It is a restrained selection of every illuminated object to express the original texture of the materials and the delicate handling of details, making people feel as if the lighting was naturally meant to be, just like the wetland woods outside the window, born from nature and reaching into the heart.
The restaurant, surrounded by water on three sides, follows the principle of ecological priority in its interior design, using recycled wooden boards and the “stone skin” – a by-product of lake stone processing – as the main materials. The ground floor restaurant is named “Stream Concealment,” while the private rooms on the second floor are respectively called “Return to Woodcutting,” “Visit the Stream,” “Hidden Fish,” “Seek the Water Chestnut,” and “Happy Persimmon,” echoing the theme that transitions from the pleasure of seclusion to the joy of sharing.
The internal lighting of the restaurant aims to emphasize the natural theme even more. The rough stone walls in the distance are continuously presented through indirect lighting, while the dining tables are carefully highlighted with focused lighting. This contrast in materials, under the effect of lighting, possesses a very dramatic power.
