This project is located in the new Beichen Triangle area of Changsha City, aiming to organically integrate traditional market culture and create a multifunctional public space for citizens to deeply experience.
Stacked milk crates extend from the street-facing facade to the indoor snack and beverage area, conveying the spatial attributes and a sense of order. Under the illumination of linear lights, the effect is particularly impressive.
The dining area is designed with the imagery of outdoor food stalls in mind. Handcrafted rattan chairs, bamboo tables, and stone-paved paths recreate a Chinese context, evoking the familiar experience of enjoying authentic local cuisine at an old neighborhood restaurant. Simple pendant lights are suspended in the air, paired with spotlights, providing ample brightness while keeping the entire space neat and aesthetically pleasing.
The coffee area features a gable roof constructed with purlins, complemented by simple spotlights to provide brightness. This design enhances the sequential beauty of the originally uneven ceiling, allowing consumers to gather or relax in booths or stepped seating.
