A-Jiao 78 Hotel is located within the headquarters campus of Dong’e Ejiao, a complex that also includes functional areas such as factories, research and development centers, corporate headquarters, and a museum in addition to the hotel. The campus receives a large number of visitors daily, and the completion of this cultural hotel will enhance the campus’s overall capacity to accommodate tourists. Dong’e Ejiao is one of the oldest traditional Chinese medicine companies in China and is considered in the field of traditional Chinese medicine to be one of the most beneficial supplements for women’s health. Ejiao can exist in various forms, ranging from a viscous liquid during production to a semi-transparent solid block in its finished state.

For the interior design project of the Almenat Hilton Hotel, located in Embu das Artes, São Paulo, Brazil,

BLOCO Arquitetos, a firm based in Brasília and led by partners Daniel Mangabeira, Henrique Coutinho, and Matheus Seco,

redesigned much of the hotel’s public areas through targeted interventions, creating spaces that differ entirely from the previous design.

From the city, to the park, and finally to the residential area, this journey home unfolds, spiraling deeper, turning back, and descending, revealing the Four Seasons Yinxiu Clubhouse—a space that fosters a dialogue between nature, people, and architecture.

An irregular sunken space is divided into levels and connected by an external circular reception area, a straight corridor, a landscape courtyard with water features, and the main building positioned around the courtyard. These elements both segment and link the space into a cohesive whole.

This design evokes memories of Yoshio Taniguchi’s approach at the Suzuki Museum, where simple geometric forms and lightweight materials are employed. Through expressions rooted in nature itself and thoughtful pathway planning, the clubhouse embodies a minimalist precision and purity—simple yet elegant and rich in detail.

The 88 Walker building is composed of a pair of tall, slender forms, creating a striking contrast with the broader proportions of the surrounding structures and becoming a focal point on the skyline. Located in the heart of North Sydney’s central business district, the project integrates with the historic Firehouse Hotel. The two-story former fire station—now a heritage-listed pub—and the 50-story mixed-use tower together narrate the evolving development of North Sydney, from an early colonial suburb across the harbor from Sydney Town to a major business district of this global city. Within the ever-evolving and dynamic CBD, it hosts some of the largest corporate tenants in the world.
