Chengdu New LiMei Plastic Surgery Hospital is located in the heart of Chengdu’s Financial City. Facing the strong development potential of the medical aesthetics industry in Chengdu and the intense competition, J&A, from the initial design stage, approached the project from a business perspective, conducting professional market analysis to position the project holistically.
“Medical Aesthetics is Medical” emphasizes the importance of maintaining the professionalism of the medical space. Therefore, in the design, the designers pursued a minimalist and rhythmic approach, using a large number of arched structures to create a sense of rhythm within the space. Arches symbolize strength, yet they are also very graceful. A design that is only soft lacks firmness, while one that is only hard lacks flexibility. The combination of both creates resilience, which is the design philosophy the team aims to express.
The use of arches is the soul of the entire space. The “arch” represents a perfect blend of simple form and substantial volume. This continuous curved form has been endowed with timeless significance by many civilizations.
Upon entering the lobby, the pure white space exudes elegance and cleanliness. The designers used sculptural sequences to create a ceiling form, with interwoven white curves forming an overall atmosphere that resembles a narrative-filled sanctuary. A dignified blue artificial stone reception desk is centrally positioned, breaking the monotony and creating a delightful contrast with the white walls.

As you move from the lobby to the consultation area, it feels like stepping deeper into a tunnel. The colors of the furniture and the architectural curves create a dramatic Italian ambiance. The designers used arched forms to minimize the presence of columns, and the sequential arches enhance the ceremonial feel of the space. Soft light strips allow you to enjoy a nostalgic and romantic atmosphere.

WONJIN Aesthetic Clinic is located on the 10th floor of an office building in the central business district of Bangkok, covering an area of 1,185 square meters. The space consists of a gallery hall and three waiting and rest areas designated for reception, skin treatments, and surgeries. Different areas include consultation rooms, skin treatment rooms, preparation areas, recovery rooms, and high-level professional operating rooms, all separated by an access control system.
